The origins of the team date back to 1975, when Helmut Schick and Piotr Włodarz founded a company in Karlsruhe, Germany, under the name Schick & Partner Freie Architekten, specializing mainly in the design of public facilities such as swimming pools and aquatic centers.
The company's operations were limited to Germany until 2004. With Poland’s accession to the European Union, the decision was made to expand into the Polish market. Due to the growing activity in Poland, in 2008 the Schick & Partner Polska office was established.
The company’s dynamic growth led to its transformation on December 6, 2012, into Schick Architekci, a limited partnership (spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością spółka komandytowa), founded by three limited partners: Helmut Schick, Andrzej Truszczyński, and Artur Stajszczyk.
In 2010, Andrzej Truszczyński took over the management of the Polish office, later becoming a partner in 20xx , and in 2016, he was appointed CEO.
In 2019, Andrzej Truszczyński, together with Paweł Kobierzewski, founded the TKHolding group
