Design of shelters, hideouts and temporary shelter spaces (MDS)
We design protective structures - shelters, hideouts and temporary shelter spaces (MDS) - compliant with the new civil-protection regulations. We usually integrate them into large public facilities. This dual-use approach makes civil protection real, maintained and funded - because the building is alive every day.
What we design
High-standard shelters, hideouts and temporary shelter spaces (MDS) — built into public facilities. We run the project end to end: from concept and PFU, through building and detailed design, to author supervision.
Compliance with the civil-protection act
The Act of 5 December 2024 and the 2025 regulations introduced requirements for shelter spaces in buildings. We help meet them, correctly distinguishing a shelter, a hideout and an MDS.
Dual-use: protection that actually works
Single-purpose bunkers are expensive, stand unused and decay. The proven answer is protective structures built into buildings used every day - because a used building stays maintained. This is how Switzerland and Finland do it. A water park is ideal: it has water and water treatment, power, ventilation and staff.
Our projects
SOL@RES in Rzeszów - a shelter built into an aquapark (a dual-function building). MAKI / the New Library - shelter spaces in a cultural building.

FAQ
How does a shelter differ from a hideout and an MDS?
A shelter is a protective structure of the highest standard. A hideout offers lower-level protection. An MDS is an adapted part of an existing or designed building.
Do you have to build a separate bunker?
Not always. The most effective approach is to build the protective structure into a daily-used building (dual-use) - it stays maintained, and costs are spread across the recreational or public function.
Do you design in line with the new civil-protection act?
Yes. We work in line with the Act of 5 December 2024 on the protection of the population and civil defence and the 2025 regulations on protective structures.
