The design of the Bulmare Erlebnisbad complex in Burglengenfeld envisions the creation of a multifunctional water and leisure facility integrating various forms of physical activity and recreation within a single architectural composition.

As part of the development, both indoor and outdoor pool zones have been implemented, including a swimming pool, a leisure pool, and paddling pools, as well as complementary features such as a water slide complex, relaxation areas, and food service facilities.

A key design objective was to create a year-round facility that responds to the needs of diverse user groups. The carefully considered functional layout enables the simultaneous use of sports, recreational, and relaxation areas, ensuring a high quality of use and clear spatial organization.

An important component of the complex is the extensive sauna and wellness area, forming a significant part of the facility’s functional program. It includes various types of saunas as well as relaxation and leisure spaces, designed to support regeneration and encourage longer user stays.

The complex includes:

• a 25 m indoor sports pool
• a leisure pool with a current channel, bubble bay, underwater loungers, neck showers, and massage jets
• an indoor children’s pool
• a year-round outdoor pool with water attractions
• a learning pool
• a Kneipp pool
• a seasonal Freibad zone with an outdoor 25 m sports pool and a children’s paddling pool
• a 75 m water slide
• a textile steam bath and infrared cabins
• an extensive sauna area with five saunas: Bierkeller Sauna, Aroma Sauna, Finnische Sauna, Sanarium Maximus, and Arena Sauna
• additionally: a steam bath, sauna garden, relaxation pool, snow cabin, ice fountain, relaxation rooms, experience showers, and foot baths
