ŁADNIE is an initiative aimed at raising public awareness of architecture and urban planning. The primary goal of the Ładnie Foundation is to enhance the appreciation of the professions of architecture and urban planning—an integral part of everyday culture.
Ładnie initiative
The ŁADNIE Foundation is composed of, among others, Paweł Kobierzewski and Andrzej Truszczyński from TKHolding, Wojciech Fudala, Justyna Boduch, Maciej Franta, and Jadwiga Małecka-Fick. ŁADNIE's first event, and a spectacular debut, was a meeting with Winny Maas, co-founder and chief architect of MVRDV, during 4 Design Days in Katowice.
Vision
The vision of ŁADNIE, as the name suggests, is to maintain spatial order. Space should become nicer, people's lives should be nicer, and for this to happen, the beauty of the reality around us must become a part of everyday culture. People live within architecture and urban planning 24 hours a day – in their places of residence, recreation, and work. By turning on television, radio, and social media, viewers should learn about the importance of the space around us.
Values
Architecture and urban planning are the eyes of those who are sensitive to the world around us. ŁADNIE strives to make the knowledge of architects and urban planners more accessible and to assist in making decisions related to the development of our cities and the spaces surrounding us.
Mission
ŁADNIE's primary goal is to increase appreciation for the professions of architecture and urban planning as an integral part of everyday culture. Knowledge and competence related to these two fields of design are essential for the proper functioning of the world and for changing it for the better. To fulfill its mission, ŁADNIE creates high-quality events, processes, and various activities focused on improving public awareness of architecture and urban planning.
