Design Dialogue
We collaborate closely with Sung et Associés on conceptual design projects, engaging in a continuous exchange of ideas, design methods, and cultural perspectives. By combining their international experience and refined architectural language with our deep understanding of the local context, traditions, and landscape, we develop coherent and expressive concepts tailored to each specific site. This collaborative process enables us to create architectural visions that are contemporary yet timeless, globally informed yet firmly rooted in the identity of place.
Sung et Associés designs architecture that balances clear structure with creative freedom. The studio looks for new spatial ideas by working with contrast, presence and absence, solid and light, order and experimentation. Their projects aim to feel contemporary, yet timeless. They treat materials with respect, using their natural qualities as a starting point and transforming them in a subtle, thoughtful way. Through careful composition, light, and rhythm, Sung et Associés creates calm, immersive spaces where the atmosphere matters as much as the form.
World Architecture Festival 2025 Finalist
Sung & Associates Architects was selected as a finalist at the World Architecture Festival 2025 with the project The Light(car)house, a public parking tower located in the small provincial town of Eumseong-eup. The project breaks away from the typical industrial image of parking structures, offering a bright and welcoming design for residents and visitors alike. Conceived as an eco-friendly parking facility integrated with green space, the building uses perforated aluminum panels and horizontal louvers to allow nature and people to become part of the architectural landscape, flowing between interior and exterior. The rhythm of the surrounding mountains is translated into the façade, bringing the natural landscape into the city.
